Geoffrey Sandman, MD

As an orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Sandman’s practice is dedicated to the treatment of diseases and injuries of the musculoskeletal system. He takes pride in providing state-of-the-art, proven procedures to restore you to a more productive life. It is Dr. Sandman’s mission to provide you excellent service, as well as excellent care. He strives to provide you the same high-quality orthopedic care he would offer to a family member.

After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree, Dr. Sandman received his medical degree from Wayne State University of Medicine in Detroit, MI. His five-year surgery residency program brought him to Grand Rapids. He left West Michigan to complete a one-year trauma fellowship at Orthopaedics Indianapolis in Indianapolis, IN. Here, Dr. Sandman had the opportunity to treat drivers from Championship Auto Racing Team (CART) and the Indy Racing League (IRL). After practicing orthopedic medicine “in the fast lane,” Dr. Sandman returned to Grand Rapids in 2002 to join River Valley Orthopedics and now OAM.
