Hip replacement

Hip replacement surgery is a surgical procedure used to treat arthritis pain in the hip. It involves replacing the ball and socket of the hip joint with a stem that fits into the femur (thigh bone), a ball which replaces the head of the femur (thigh bone), and a cup which replaces the acetabulum (socket).
