Dear Mark:

Thank you, first of all, for everything that you and the others are doing in Haiti and for Haiti. It is very inspiring to those of us who don't have the skills but do have the heart to feel great sadness ... but also hope ... for Haitians and their country.

When you return to Grand Rapids, please contact me by email, if you can. I live here and am a PIH representative and have been asked by PIH to help with Dr. Joia Mukherjee's April visit to GR (which will include meeting with OAM, I understand).

Hope your last days there go well and safe travels back home.

Best wishes,
Barbara Rylko-Bauer

I never cease to be amazed at the charity and love shown by Americans of all stripes when help is needed. I'm so proud that my grandson is part of that effort in Haiti, and that he interrupted his final year of residency to do so. It's no more than I expected of him; he continues to make me proud that he's in my family and teaching all of us every day.

TJ,
In case your energies give rise to reading, the winds of Alaska come south with good wishes for the work of your hands, and the assistance of your team. The hands and the eyes are the art of portrait photography and surely, they are tools in your art as well. Good wishes. Wishing I was there to document your fine efforts.
