One of the things the team has learned early in this process is that things can change at any time. There is certainly a lot of dynamic dynamism in patient care, logistics and other things. It became real to us today when we found out last night at midnight that we would be sold to a new hospital. This was a bit of a disappointment at first after all the logistical work and preparations that we have made.

However, it turns out  we are going to team with Greg Golladay at Double Harvest Mission which has two open OR’s ready for orthopaedic surgeons. This is solely Partners In Health enterprise. Rob and I went back to make appropriate pass off to the care team and get all of our equipment.

We are stuck in a traffic jam now in the city center and waiting to get back to the compound to pick up the rest of the team and head to our new destination. Again, all is well with all of us.  We had a restful night. It seems we all slept better last night. It is amazing how a bit of fatigue can make the concrete seem a lot softer! We intend to call back when we reach the new site and confirm how Greg is doing and give a brief  update.
