Just received a phone call from Dr. Bielema.
He said that everyone is doing good considering the situation. Of course, the accommodations are not that great, but manageable. Doesn’t sound like they’ll be sleeping much given the potential case loads.
They have not connected yet with Dr. Golladay, but have sent him a message so they hope to be in contact with him soon. They have done some surgeries but not very many yet. Still getting integrated into the rotation. I imagine OR space is at a premium.
Dr. Bielema gave some of his blood to a little girl last night who needed a blood transfusion. (Read PIH’s account.) He just wanted me to let everyone know that they are fine, and he will be in contact again soon!
